Hats Off to Led Zeppelin

Friday 31st Oct 2014
7:30 pm

Bandwagon Productions & Warren Grant present ‘Hats off to Led Zeppelin’

- A stunning tribute to the greatest rock band ever! You’ll feel like you’ve travelled back in time when you experience these four top class musicians on stage, recreating Led Zeppelin’s magical concerts.

Featuring Peter Eldridge from the West End production of We Will Rock You; Jack Tanner and Kevin Oliver Jones from the world tours of Thriller Live and Dancing in the Streets; and Simon Wicker as Bonzo incarnate, they play all the right instruments and hit all the right notes in this explosive live show.

As well as being winners at the National Tribute Awards 2013 and the ONLY UK tribute act officially endorsed by Marshall amplifiers they are proud to be co-managed by Warren Grant, the son of legendary Led Zeppelin manager, Peter Grant, who said after seeing them live: 'You guys really did the band justice!'

Dave Lewis from Tightbutloose magazine said: ‘Hats Off went down a storm… delivered in a no messin' style… play it they did and rock we did!’ - 'Shut your eyes and you would think you were listening to the real thing!’

Come and join the fun!

Oasish

Saturday 21st Feb 2015
7:30 pm

Since forming in 2004, Oasish, have quickly become the most sought after OASIS tribute band in the UK. Not only does the band feature many professional musicians, it also features members that have played the bigger stages with names such as Robbie Williams, Pete Townshend (The Who), Bryan Adams,Chesney Hawkes, Nik Kershaw, Jason Donovan plus many more...

Boasting a back-line that matches the same amps that oasis use, Oasish also use the same instruments as well. Indeed, the "Noel" uses either a Sunburst Gibson Les Paul, Cherry Red Gibson ES335 or the Union Jack Epiphone Supernova, the signature guitar that Noel helped design after appearing with one at the Maine Road show in Manchester in the mid 90's.

Forest Forge Theatre Company

Two individual stories. Two lives connected by one moment.

A baby is abandoned on a deserted railway platform, there is a young woman who decides to give up her baby and an older woman who finds it. A decision that derails and changes the direction of both their lives.

2015. A re-opened heritage railway station. When Liz receives an unexpected message, she is presented with the chance to live a life she rejected decades ago. This could be her moment; this could be just what she’s been waiting for. But should she first reveal the secret she has kept for twenty-one years?

1994. A railway station facing closure. Catherine is eagerly waiting for her new life to begin but an unexpected visitor forces her towards an unfamiliar destination and a future she did not anticipate. Twenty-one years later, she returns to the same railway station and is confronted by the past she has turned her back on.

At the centre of both plays is Tom, the model railway enthusiast. Tom, who’s been reading other people’s letters. Tom who’s also Sam.

Using a range of theatrical styles and storytelling devices, this quirky and playful ensemble piece tells the story of our relationship to the past and to the future and the constantly changing nature of our hopes and dreams. The abandoned railway lines, heritage stations and derelict platforms of Hampshire’s railway history form the backdrop of this new play.
